Red, White, & Blue Ice Pops

Ingredients Needed:

2 cups of cleaned strawberries

2 cups blueberries

5 tablespoons lime juice

6 tablespoons sugar, divided

1/2 cup plain yogurt

3 tablespoons heavy cream

2 cups blueberries

 

 

Let's Get Started!

 

STEP ONE

Combine in a blender your strawberries, sugar, and 1 1/2 tablespoons of lime juice then puree. 

 

STEP TWO

Pour the pureed strawberries evenly into ice-pop molds. Freeze for about 30-40 minutes until the mixture is firm.

 

STEP THREE

In a bowl combine 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of lime juice, yogurt, and heavy cream. 

 

STEP FOUR

Remove the ice-pop mold from the freezer and spoon the yogurt mixture on top of the pureed strawberry. This time insert the ice-pop sticks before freezing. Let the new mixture freeze for another 30-40 minutes

 

STEP FIVE

In a clean blender, combine blueberries, 1 1/2 tablespoons of lime juice, and 2 tablespoons of sugar; puree the mixture.

 

STEP SIX

Remove the ice-pops from the freezer and top with blueberry puree mixture. Place the sticks in the molds and freeze for at least 5 hours before serving.

 

TIP: Run the molds under hot water to help remove the pop from the mold.
